Do you have any problems in maintaining your individuality in a world of groups?
You know the groups…the entertainment celebrities…the sports figures…the billionaires…the politicians…even the news anchors.
These are the people that life focuses on every day. What are they doing?…what are they posting?…what are they saying?
If you don’t have a Wikipedia profile, you’re no one.
Not true.
We all have something to contribute to this world. Your name may not make headlines, but your giving may mean the difference between life and death to someone.
Your time is the same denominator as a billionaire’s. If you choose to prepare bagged lunches for the homeless, verses launching the next billion-dollar business…what’s the more important? Only God knows, quite honestly…but I bet you get very, very high marks for charitable acts verses investing billions into a new business.
Time and giving means something, just as much as a dollar invested into the future of a society.
Don’t minimize what can be done by one. One person can change a world.
Think about what your gifts are, think of how you can use your time to help others. Maybe it is to invest into the future of the economy and create jobs so people can raise families—–if that’s where you are gifted.
Just because the nightly news and entertainment programs, and news feeds on the internet spew the sensationalism of a rich individual, or famous entertainer, doesn’t mean you can’t offer something just as important.
Take some time to ponder, some time to explore. Society needs your contribution——now, more than ever.
