Now, more than ever, the stark reality of hoarding is setting in for many people. Clothes, papers, items that you have held on to for years, but never seem to be able to part with.
Guess what? It’s okay to make decisions to discard things in your home if you don’t need them anymore.
I did a de-clutter on a Friday as I was wrapping my week up and it feels like I have a new home.
Clothes went into the garbage in favor or new clothes to come.
A stack full of papers got tossed. Who holds on to mail envelopes they opened weeks ago?…ME…it’s why I’m single.
What you don’t need, throw. It’s okay.
A cluttered house is really a cluttered mind. I am seeing that. It’s the same concept of not picking up after yourself. A messy house is a messy mind.
Do yourself a favor and de-clutter. It just takes some immediate decisions on what you have, and what you don’t need anymore.
Have at it one weekend or one evening…or with the time we have on our hands..one day during the week.
You’ll be glad you did.
